Your slide must already be milled to accept the VTG O.P.S. system.
Important Disclaimers
VTG O.P.S. Compatibility: The Vermont Gunworks' (VTG) O.P.S. is designed to be matched with a proprietary milled pattern. This means that VTG plates will only work with slides that have been milled by Vermont Gunworks. Plates from other manufacturers will not be compatible with our milling pattern.
Installation Specifications: Each plate comes with 3 (three) 4-40 screws that require a T8 Torx bit for installation. These screws must be installed with blue loctite (243 or 246) and have a MAXIMUM torque specification of 10 inch-lbs. Do not exceed this torque specification as it may damage the plate or slide.
Optic Mounting Hardware Check: Before installing optics that bolt into the plate, you MUST install the optic off of the slide first to verify that the mounting hardware ends flush with the interfacing face of the plate. If the hardware protrudes beyond the interfacing face, the plate will not sit flush with the slide and will cause issues and potential permanent damage. Always perform this verification step before final installation.
